PA Man Charged With Weapon, Drug Charges, Released On $70,000 Unsecured Bail

On August 10th, at about 12:17 am, Newark Police Officers stopped a vehicle on Bellevue Road after it was observed committing several traffic violations, according to Lt. Andrew Rubin.

Rubin said upon contact with the vehicle, officers smelled the odor of marijuana and observed marijuana in the vehicle. The officers conducted a search of the vehicle and located a loaded handgun along with a small amount of marijuana.

Officers arrested the driver of the vehicle Brandon Norman, 27 of Eighty Four, Pennsylvania.

He was charged with Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony, Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon, Possession of Marijuana and various traffic offenses.

He appeared before Justice of the Peace Court #11 in New Castle and was released on $70,000 unsecured bail.
