Milton – The Delaware State Police have charged 25-year-old, Kaleb R. Lemaire of Milton, with multiple weapons-related offenses, stemming from a domestic incident that occurred late Saturday night, according to Public Information Officer, Master Corporal Michael Austin.
Austin said on Saturday, August 24, 2019, at approximately 11:29 p.m., Troopers responded to a residence located in the 100 block of Bangor Lane in Milton for the report of a male subject threatening a female with a handgun. Troopers learned that Lemaire had been involved in a verbal altercation with his girlfriend while at the residence, and during the incident pointed a handgun at her and threatened to shoot her, according to Austin. The victim was able to flee the residence uninjured.
Responding Troopers secured the area around the residence and were able to locate Lemaire, in a vehicle adjacent to the residence. He was then taken into custody without incident. A further search of the property produced a handgun, which was located in the yard of the residence, said Austin.
Lemaire was transported to Troop 7 where he was charged with the following:
Possession of a Deadly Weapon During the Commission of a Felony
Aggravated Menacing
Terroristic Threatening
Possession of a Firearm While Under the Influence
Lemaire was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court #3 and then committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution in lieu of $68,000.00 secured bail.
