On September 13, 2019, at about 1555 hours, a female and a male suspect entered the Home Depot store on Suburban Drive in Newark. A store employee observed the suspects remove large spools of insulated copper wire and leave the store without rendering payment, according to Lt Andrew Rubin.
Rubin said the suspects were observed getting into a silver Chevrolet Tahoe, DE C480810, and then exited the parking lot. A store employee reviewed surveillance video and recognized the female suspect as Ashley Foley, 25 of Clayton, DE. Based on surveillance video, the male suspect was identified as Michael McGinnis, 30, of Kenton, DE., according to Rubin.
On September 14, 2019, warrants were obtained charging both Foley and McGinnis with one count each of Theft – Organized Retail Crime and Conspiracy Third Degree.
McGinnis and Foley may be operating the above-described Chevrolet Tahoe.
McGinnis and Foley are both wanted on similar charges by several other Delaware agencies, added Rubin.
Anyone with information on McGinnis or Foley’s whereabouts is asked to call PFC C. McKennon at (302) 366-7100 x. 3491 or [email protected]. Additional methods for providing information to Newark Police can be found on our tips page.
