Philly Pike Gas Station Robbed At Knifepoint Friday Morning

Claymont- The Delaware State Police are investigating an armed robbery that took place at a Claymont area business this morning, according to Public Information Officer, Master Corporal Juanita Huey-Smith.

Huey-Smith said the incident occurred at approximately 12:31 a.m., September 13, 2019, at the Dash In, located at 3700 Philadelphia Pike. Two suspects, who had their faces concealed, approached the two store employees at the cash register, each displaying a knife and demanded cash from the register, according to Huey-Smith. The employee’s complied with the demand and turned over an undisclosed amount of money to the suspects, who then fled on foot toward Myrtle Avenue. The employees were not injured as a result of the incident.

The first suspect was described as a black male, 5’8”, 165 pounds, wearing dark clothing, a light fabric covering his face and in possession of a knife.

The second suspect was described as a black male, 5’10”, 155-160 pounds, wearing dark clothing, a light fabric covering his face and in possession of a knife.
