Troopers Investigating Death Of Infant At Bear Daycare Center

Bear – The Delaware State Police (DSP) is reportedly conducting a death investigation involving a child, according to sources.

At 10:34 this morning, Thursday, September 5, 2019, rescue crews responded to a daycare facility located in the 3800 block of Wrangle Hill Road for reports that a child was receiving CPR.

At this time not much is known about the incident, however, several sources have told First State Update that the child did pass away.

Detectives were at the location for much of the day investigating.

Shortly after we reported this morning’s incident DSP released the following statement.

“Bear – The Delaware State Police are conducting an investigation into the death of an infant that occurred at approximately 10:35 a.m., Thursday, September 5, 2019, at the Little People Child Development Center, located at 3843 Wrangle Hill Rd., Bear.

As a result of this investigation, the Office of Childcare Licensing has suspended the license of the center indefinitely.

This is an active and ongoing investigation with further details being released as they become available.”
