Breaking Report

Bear – New Castle County Police are currently investigating a shooting that took place on Rivers End Drive in the Villages of Crofton.

Initial reports indicate that a shooting occurred in the parking lot of a mini-mart at Rivers End Drive and Mario Drive.

Residents from the neighborhood said two subjects got into a gunfight in the parking lot before fleeing the area on foot. Police have not confirmed that.

County Police with the assistance of Delaware State Police searched the area but it is believed that nobody was taken into custody.

Evidence technicians were on location marking bullet casings and other items with yellow evidence tags.

Additional reports indicate that bullet holes were found in at least one home behind the shopping center.

No reports of injuries at this time.

This is a developing story.
