Video: Crash Closes Route 13 In Smyrna, Multiple Injuries Reported

Smyrna – Just after 9:00 this morning rescue crews from the Citizens Hose Company of Smyrna, along with crews from the Townsend Fire Company, Kent County Medics, Delaware State Police and Trooper 4 were dispatched to Route 13 at Duck Creek Parkway for reports of a traffic collision with multiple injuries.

Upon their arrival, crews reported that three people were trapped and immediately began the extrication process.

Command alerted Trooper 4, already en route, that they would be utilized for transport.

At least four ambulances transported patients to area hospitals. Trooper 4 transported one patient to the trauma center at Christiana Hospital.
