Just In: Crash Closes Pine Tree Road In Townsend, One To Hospital By Air

Townsend – At 6:08 this morning, Wednesday, October 2, 2019 rescue crews from Townsend and Middletown, along with medics and Trooper 4 responded to Pine Tree Road at Harris Road, just west of Route 1 for reports of a motor vehicle accident with entrapment.

Upon arrival, crews reported that they had one patent with light entrapment.

After evaluating the patient medics alerted Trooper 4 that the helicopter would be utilized for transport.

The patient was flown to the Trauma Center at Christina Hospital with undetermined injuries.

At 6:45 am Pine Tree Road remained closed, however, it has since been reopened.
