Man Robbed In Laundromat Parking Lot On Saturday

New Castle – The Delaware State Police are investigating a strong-arm robbery that took place in the parking lot of a New Castle area laundromat on Saturday evening, according to Public Information Officer, Master Corporal Michael Austin.

Austin said the incident occurred at approximately 7:46 p.m., Saturday, October 19, 2019, in the parking lot of a laundromat located at 272 Christiana Road inNew Castle. A 19-year-old male was walking in the area of the Georgetown Village Apartments when he noticed two male subjects following him. As he continued walking, he entered the laundromat parking lot at which time he was confronted by the two subjects, who he now noticed had their faces concealed. A physical altercation ensued during which the suspects were able to remove property from the victim’s person. After obtaining the property both suspects fled on foot back towards the apartment complex. The victim was not injured as a result of the incident.

Both suspects were described as black males, with thin builds, wearing all dark clothing, to include a cloth fabric covering their faces. One was described as being approximately 5’8”-5’11” tall and the other being 5’6”-5’9”.
