The Harrington Police Department reported finding a deceased person in the 8400 block of Vernon Road, west of Harrington yesterday.
Police have not officially confirmed that the woman they found Tuesday was Donna Miller, however, family members took to social media to thank everyone for the outpouring of support.
“Thank you, everyone for the outpouring of love we have felt from around the world. Donna would have been so touched. We don’t have any answers yet but do not suspect foul play. Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts. God bless each and every one of you.”, read the post.
Miller, who police said suffered from Dementia, went missing on the morning of Wednesday, October 23. Shortly after she was reported missing the Harrington Police Department with the assistance of the Delaware State Police and other agencies began searching for Miller.
According to officials, the search included K-9 teams, officers from surrounding agencies and one of the Delaware State Police helicopters. The search was conducted over a period of several days.
The investigation is continuing and anyone with information is asked to contact the Harrington Police Department.
This is a developing story.
