Police: Man Found Shot In Downtown Dover, Witnesses Uncooperative

The Dover Police Department is investigating a shooting incident that occurred on Sunday morning, according to M/Cpl. Mark Hoffman, Public Information Officer.

Hoffman said at approximately 12:17 am, officers in the downtown area heard multiple gunshots in the Unit Block of S. New Street.

A 20-year-old male was located with a gunshot wound to his foot and was transported to Bayhealth Kent General Hospital by ambulance.

The victim and potential witnesses that were located in the area have been uncooperative with investigative efforts at this time.
