Three Shootings In Less Than Nine Hours Leaves At Least One Dead, Another Wounded

Police are investigating three separate shooting incidents that occurred late Monday and early Tuesday morning.

The latest shooting occurred in the 600 block of N. West Street at around 2:42 Tuesday morning

Wilmington Police said they locate a 33-year-old female victim suffering from gunshot wounds. The woman was transported to the hospital and is listed in critical condition.

Prior to that third shooting incident, Wilmington Police responded to the 2500 block of Thatcher Street for reports of a shooting.

At approximately 8:05 p.m. on Monday evening officers located a 19-year-old male gunshot victim who was transported to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Early reports from the scene indicate that the victim was shot multiple times.

A few hours earlier on Monday, New Castle County Police responded to Kings Circle just off Old Baltimore Pike for reports of a shooting incident.

Police have yet to release information regarding this incident, however, initial reports indicate police were investigating a shooting that left a vehicle with multiple bullets holes.

Additional reports that a victim was also shot at this scene have not been confirmed by police

More than a dozen County Officers were on scene searching an area cordoned off by crime scene tape, according to a witness.
