Troopers: Former Burger Joint Employee Tries To Rob Said Burger Joint At Gunpoint, Fails

Wilmington – The Delaware State Police are attempting to locate 28-year-old Kalief T. Heath of Wilmington, who is wanted in connection with an armed robbery that occurred at approximately 8:16 a.m., Monday, August 12, 2019 at the Five Guys restaurant, located at 2217 Concord Pike in Wilmington, according to Public Information Officer, Master Corporal Michael Austin.

Austin said Heath, a former Five Guys employee and who was wearing a Five Guys uniform, rang the doorbell at the back door of the business, prior to the business opening. A female employee who was already inside the business answered the door at which time Heath pointed a handgun at her and ordered her out of the business. The female victim refused and Heath fled on a bicycle, southbound on Concord Pike without obtaining any property or money, according to Austin. The victim was not injured as a result of the incident.
