The Dover Police Department is investigating an armed robbery of a gas station that occurred on Tuesday night, according to M/Cpl. Mark Hoffman, Public Information Officer.
Hoffman said at approximately 9:17 PM, an unknown white male suspect entered the Valero gas station located at 530 N. DuPont Highway. Once inside, the suspect displayed a black handgun and demanded money. The victim complied and the suspect fled the business with an undisclosed amount of cash toward the area of Chatham Cove on foot.
The suspect was described as a white male, wearing all black with a cloth wrapped around his face.
