WPD is working in conjunction with the Delaware Division of Forensic Science/Medical Examiner’s Office to determine the identity of the victim.

Last week an SUV was found in the Brandywine River. In that case, police Karas said Wilmington Police, along with members of the Wilmington Fire Department Marine Units responded to the area and found the vehicle to be unoccupied.

The vehicle was recovered from the river and the owner was been notified, according to Karas.
