Police: Second 16-Year-Old Shot In Wilmington On Saturday

Wilmington Police are investigating a shooting incident that occurred at approximately 9:17 p.m. in the 3000 block of Washington Street.

Police located a 16-year-old male gunshot victim who was transported to the hospital and is listed in stable condition.

Early indications are that the teen was struck in the leg and was transported to an area trauma center.

This shooting took place just blocks from where another 16-year-old was shot earlier on Saturday.

That shooting took place at approximately 5:07 p.m. in the 3800 block of North Market Street.

Rescue crews from Saint Francis Healthcare EMS, New Castle County Medics, Wilmington Fire and Life Net were dispatched to the area of the Rite Aid at 3801 N Market Street in Wilmington for reports of a shooting.

In that incident, Saint Francis Healthcare EMS’ PA-3 transported the teen to a local trauma center with New Castle County Medics accompanying.
