Three Hospitalized After Serious Crash In Newark

Newark – Just after 4:30 Tuesday afternoon rescue crews from Aetna Hose Hook and Ladder, along with New Castle County Medics were dispatched to East Chestnut Hill Road at Gender Road for a vehicle accident with entrapment.

When crews arrived they found two vehicles with heavy damage and three patients injuries. One patient was trapped for a short period of time, however, she was freed after about 10 minutes.

All three patients were transported to Christiana Hospital with what are believed to be non-life-threatening-injuries.

Aetna Chief Drew Bowerson was in command of the incident.
