15-Year-Old Dies After Being Shot Multiple Times Monday Night

The Dover Police Department is investigating the shooting death of a 15-year-old male from Milford, Delaware, that occurred on Monday night, according to M/Cpl. Mark Hoffman, Public Information Officer.

At approximately 9:49 pm, officers responded to an alley at the rear of Paul Street, near Davis Circle, after the victim called 911 himself to report that he had been shot.

Upon arrival, it was learned that the victim had been shot multiple times, but was conscious at the time of officers’ arrival. He was quickly taken to Kent General Hospital by medical personnel, where he succumbed to his injuries.

There were no witnesses in the area upon police arrival. The victim, whose identity was not immediately known, had to be positively identified through fingerprints affording to Hoffman. Once he was identified, officers were able to notify his next of kin of the incident.
