76-Year-Old Woman Injured During Dover Robbery

The Dover Police Department is investigating a purse snatching (robbery) that occurred on Monday morning in the 1000 block of S. Little Creek Road, according to M/Cpl. Mark Hoffman, Public Information Officer.

Hoffman said at approximately 6:32 AM, a 76-year-old woman was walking to her vehicle when an unknown male suspect approached her from behind and forcefully removed the victim’s purse from her grasp.

The suspect then fled westbound through the nearby woods. The suspect was described as an unknown male, approximately 5’9″, wearing a black winter coat with a white stripe from the right shoulder down to the left hip, and dark pants. The victim suffered a minor injury to her wrist as a result of this incident.
