Dover Police Arrest Three On Drug And Gun Charges

The Dover Police Department arrested three suspects on drug and firearms charges on Tuesday afternoon, according to M/Cpl. Mark Hoffman, Public Information Officer.

Hoffman said at approximately 3:09 PM, officers were conducting an investigation into a home in the 100 Block of Revolutionary Boulevard regarding illegal drug sales. During surveillance, Shawn Wright (32) left the residence and officers conducted a vehicle stop. As officers attempted to pull Wright over he discarded 29.2 grams of marijuana from the vehicle, according to Hoffman. When Wright was then taken into custody police found that he was in possession of 5 grams of crack cocaine, added Hoffman.

While Wright was being arrested, officers watching the home observed Aaron Wilson (25) exit the residence and place several bags inside of a vehicle parked in front of the home, according to Hoffman. Officers took Wilson and Candice Williams (21), also at the home, into custody without incident. Officers then obtained a search warrant for the home and the vehicle. A search of the residence led to the discovery of 20 grams of marijuana, digital scales, packaging material, and $1,343 in cash (drug proceeds), according to Hoffman. A search of the vehicle produced 419.3 grams of marijuana and a handgun, said Hoffman. In all, 468.5 grams (1.032 pounds) of marijuana were seized.

Shawn Wright was committed to SCI on a $45,500 secured bond on the following charges:
-Possession of Firearm During Commission of Felony
-Possession with Intent to Deliver Marijuana (2x)
-Possession of Marijuana
-Possession with Intent to Deliver Crack Cocaine
-Possession of Crack Cocaine
-Possession of Firearm by Person Prohibited
-Conspiracy 2nd Degree
-Drug Paraphernalia

Aaron Wilson was released on a $5,500 unsecured bond on the following charges:
-Possession of Firearm by Person Prohibited
-Possession of Marijuana
-Tampering with Physical Evidence
-Conspiracy 2nd Degree
-Drug Paraphernalia

Candice Williams was released on a $5,500 unsecured bond on the following charges:
-Possession of Firearm by Person Prohibited
-Possession of Marijuana
-Tampering with Physical Evidence
-Conspiracy 2nd Degree
-Drug Paraphernalia
