Wilmington – The Delaware State Police have arrested 50-year-old Lewis H. Pinkett 3rd, of Delaware City, in connection with the armed robbery of the Circle K gas station, located at 1801 Concord Pike, Wilmington, according to Public Information Officer, Master Corporal Michael Austin.
Austin said during the incident which occurred at approximately 11:55 p.m., Tuesday, January 7, 2020, a male suspect confronted an employee at the sales counter and demanded money, while implying that he had a weapon. The employee complied with the demand and turned over an undisclosed amount of cash to the suspect who then fled on foot northbound on Concord Pike. The employee was not injured as a result of the incident.
Through various investigative measures, detectives were able to identify a black, Chevy Venture mini-van as a vehicle involved in the robbery, which was then positively linked to Pinkett, said Austin. On Wednesday, January 22, 2020, Troopers located the vehicle in the Duross Heights neighborhood of New Castle. Pinkett was also located in the area and taken into custody without incident. A subsequent search of the vehicle produced evidence further linking Pinkett to the robbery, said Austin.
Pinkett was charged with one count of Robbery 1st Degree and then committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution in lieu of $10,000.00 cash bail.

Wilmington – The Delaware State Police are investigating the robbery of a Fairfax area gas station that occurred late Tuesday night, according to Public Information Officer, Master Corporal Michael Austin.
Austin said The incident occurred at approximately 11:55 p.m., Tuesday, January 7, 2020, at the Circle K gas station, located at 1801 Concord Pike in Wilmington. The suspect was described as a white male, 5’10” tall, average build, wearing a dark-colored jacket and jeans. No weapon was displayed, only implied.
