Wilmington Police Charge Two With Attempted Murder In Saturday Night Shooting

Wilmington Police have made two arrests in the shooting incident that took place Saturday evening.

At 8:09 p.m. last evening, police were dispatched to the 700 block of North Spruce Street in reference to a shooting that had occurred. Police located an 18-year-old male gunshot victim who was transported to the hospital in stable condition.

The investigation was assigned to Detective Michael Hayman of the Criminal Investigations Division. Through the course of the evening, investigators identified two suspects: 18-year-old Kyndale Perkins and 18-year-old Jayden Deputy, police said Sunday.

Police took both suspects into custody without incident.

Perkins has been charged with the following offenses:
Attempted Murder 1st Degree
Possession of a Firearm During a Commission of a Felony.
Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon
Endangering the Welfare of a Child (2 counts)
Conspiracy 1st

Perkins was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $188,000 cash-only bail.

Deputy has been charged with the following offenses:
Attempted Murder 1st Degree
Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony
Endangering the Welfare of a Child (2 counts)
Conspiracy 1st

Deputy was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $178,000 cash-only bail.
