Happening Now: Three Trapped Under Vehicle In Critical Condition

Bridgeville – Just before 8:40, Friday evening rescue crews from the Bridgeville Volunteer Fire Company, along with Sussex County Medics and Trooper 2 were dispatched to Route 13 sb at Redden Road for a motor vehicle crash with injuries.

While en route crews learned that three patients were trapped under a truck and ordered the road closed. As they raced to the scene crews began to ask for additional crews and equipment. Crews from Greenwood and Seaford were added to the call.

Crews worked for several minutes to extricate all three patients. Just after 9:00 crews reported that all three patients had been extricated. All three patients are listed in critical condition. Two have been transported by ground the third by air.

Route 13 in the area is closed. Delaware State Police have issued the following statement: “Serious crash on US Rt 13 sb at Redden Rd, Bville – Rt 13 shut down at this time from Redden Rd. Use caution and avoid the area.”
