Multiple Shots Fired In Newark, Investigation Underway

Newark – The Delaware State Police are investigating a shots fired incident that took place at a Newark area residence early Tuesday morning, according to Public Information Officer, Master Corporal Michael Austin.

Austin said at approximately 1:30 a.m., Tuesday, February 18, 2020, the occupants of a residence located in the 600 block of Old Baltimore Pike, Newark were awoken by the sound of approximately six gunshots. At this time the residents were unaware of what had occurred and it wasn’t until later in the morning that they discovered damage to the exterior of the residence, which was confirmed to have been caused by gunfire. There were no injuries as a result of the incident.
