Smyrna – Rescue Crews from the Citizens Hose Company of Smyrna along with Kent County Medics and Trooper 4 have responded to Shorts Landing Road east of Smyrna for reports of an injured person.
Initial reports from the scene indicate that a subject is under a tree and can’t move their legs. It’s not clear if the subject has been trapped by the tree.
Crews have worked their way back to the subject’s location in a wooded area.
At 2:48 Trooper 4 alerted Kent Center that they have landed near the scene.
Update: Medics report that the subject was cutting down trees this afternoon. The tree did not fall on the subject, however, he did trip and fall into the water where he has been for over two hours. The patient is en route to CER via Trooper 4.
