Officials: Milford School District Parent Has Tested Positive For COVID-19

On Wednesday the Milford School District announced that a parent that has children in two separate schools has tested positive for coronavirus.

Statement:

“Good morning Milford School District Community,
We have become aware that a parent of Benjamin Banneker Elementary School and Avenue Preschool students has tested positive for COVID-19 (coronavirus). The parent is currently isolated at home.

Should you or someone within your household or family develop symptoms such as coughing, fever, and shortness of breath, you should contact the Delaware Division of Public Health at 1-866-408-1899 or your primary healthcare provider. If you experience symptoms and do not have a health care provider, contact Division of Public Health’s Dana Carr at [email protected] or 1-703-942-9912.

Please remember to adhere to Delaware Division of Public Health’s guidelines of limiting social contacts by practicing social distancing, finding alternative ways to greet people that don’t involve shaking hands, as well as practicing good hand and cough hygiene.”
