Two In Critical Condition After Dover House Fire

The Delaware Office of the State Fire Marshal is investigating last night’s fire in Dover that sent two occupants to the hospital, according to Assistant State Fire Marshal Michael Chionchio.

Chionchio said the blaze, reported shortly after 9:00 pm, occurred in the 500 block of Artis Drive west of Dover. The Dover Fire Department responded to the fire and found a 83-year-old female suffering smoke inhalation and a 67-year-old male, also suffering smoke inhalation. Both victims were admitted to the Bayhealth Hospital Kent Campus in critical condition.

State fire investigators are on the scene searching for the fire’s origin and cause. Fire damage was estimated at $125,000. This fire remains under investigation.
