Bear – Last evening one of our readers tagged us in a post and we shared it on our Facebook page.
The post mentioned that Allister Barker, a Korean War veteran, will be laid to rest at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery without any family able to attend.
Within seconds of us posting the information hundreds of our readers began reacting. Many of those reacting to the post say they are planning to attend tomorrow’s lunch hour service. Some are even trying to put together groups of bikers and first responders to attend Barker’s service.
The service will be held Thursday, 3/5/20, at 11:00 am at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, located at 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, Delaware 19701. The service is open to the public.
