Edgemoor – Last night, Saturday, April18, 2020 at 8:40 p.m., patrol officers from the New Castle County Division of Police were dispatched to South Rodney Drive, in the community of Edgemoor for the report of a shooting that had just occurred.
When the officers arrived, they discovered two victims suffering from gunshot wounds. One victim was a 15-year-old female who sustained a single gunshot wound to her lower torso. The second victim, a 13-year-old boy, was shot in the leg. Both were transported to the hospital with what police say were non-life-threatening injuries.
Detectives from the New Castle County Division of Police Criminal Investigations Unit arrived at the scene and assumed the investigation.

Initial reports from the scene indicate that multiple victims may be injured.
At least one juvenile has been shot and is en route to the hospital.
Troopers and County Police are also responding. Large crowd forming around the scene.
