Police: Three Injured In Armed Robbery, Suspect Sought Again

The Dover Police Department is searching for a suspect in a robbery that occurred on Sunday afternoon. At approximately 12:38 PM, two black males forced entry into a hotel room at the Kent Budget Inn and demanded cash while pointing a firearm at the three occupants, according to M/Cpl. Mark Hoffman, Public Information Officer.

Hoffman said the suspects stole one woman’s purse and an undisclosed amount of cash from another victim. During the incident a male victim (36) sustained a minor laceration to his forehead after being struck by a suspect, a female victim (45) sustained a lip injury after being struck by a suspect, and a 60-year-old female sustained a lower leg injury that required surgery at Kent General Hospital.

Radio reports from the scene indicated that the 60-year-old woman may have been sustained a compound fracture and was pistol-whipped during the incident.

Detectives were able to review area surveillance and identify Deshaun Harris (42) as one of the suspects involved in the incident. Harris has a last known address of Lebanon Road in Dover, DE.

Last year Harris was sought by the Dover Police Department for a similar incident. It’s not clear if he was ever picked up on the previous charges.
