U.S. Marshals’ Task Force Apprehended Wanted Man In Dover

U.S. Marshals Task Force has made an arrest involving a Milford robbery suspect.

Officials said o June 20, 2020, the U.S. Marshals’ First State Fugitive Task Force located and apprehended William J Windle Jr., 19, of Hartly, at the Best Western Galaxy Inn in Dover.

Windle was wanted out of Milford for an Attempted Robbery/Reckless Endangering incident where it was alleged that he and two other unknown suspects fired multiple gunshots into a vehicle and attempted to rob one of the two victims inside of the vehicle during the early morning hours of 06/11/2020.

Windle was transported back to the Milford Police Department where he was charged with the following: one count of Attempted to Commit Robbery First Degree, one count of Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony, 2 counts of Reckless Endangering First Degree, one count of Aggravated Menacing, one count of stalking, one count of Conspiracy Second Degree, and one count of Criminal Mischief Over $1000.

Windle had a presentment through the Justice of the Peace Court 3 where he was committed to the Department of Correction in default of $105,100 USC cash bail only. No contact orders were put into place between Windle and the victims in this case. Windle was ordered to appear at a later date in the Sussex County Court of Common Pleas for a preliminary hearing.
