Five Children Shot In Wilmington Late Saturday

Wilmington Police are investigating a shooting incident that occurred at approximately 10:36 p.m. Saturday in the 600 block of North Pine Street.

Police located five gunshot victims: two 15-year-old male gunshot victims, a 13-year-old female gunshot victim, a 14-year-old female gunshot victim, and a 10-year-old male gunshot victim. All of the victims were transported to the hospital and are listed in stable condition.

Initial reports from the scene indicate two of the teens where shot in the leg. A third patient was possibly transported by personal vehicle. Medics reported a fight in the Wilmington Hospital emergency room upon arrival. Shortly after that report, the hospital went on total divert, patients would now be transported to other area hospitals.

This incident remains under investigation and further details will be released when possible.
