Gunfire Leaves Dover Woman’s Home Damaged Tuesday

The Dover Police Department is investigating a late reported shooting incident that damaged the rear of a home in the 400 Block of East Water Street on Tuesday morning, according to Sergeant Mark Hoffman, Public Information Officer.

Hoffman said officers responded to the residence at 1:06 PM when the resident called the police and advised her home struck by gunfire. The victim stated that she heard what she believed to be fireworks between 3:00 AM-4:00 AM on Tuesday morning but did not see anyone outside of the home.

Several hours later, she observed the damage and notified the police.
