A Wilmington Police Investigation has resulted in an arrest in connection with a July 2019 murder.
On July 25, 2019, at approximately 10:15 p.m. police responded to the 700 block of West 4th Street in response to a shooting investigation. Arriving officers located the victim, identified as 66-year-old Terry Wise, suffering from a gunshot wound. Wise was transported to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
The case was assigned to Detective Brandon Mosley of the Criminal Investigations Division. Through the course of his investigation, Detective Mosley identified 19-year-old Nazir Henry as a suspect, police said Wednesday.
Henry was also identified as a suspect in a shooting incident that occurred on August 6, 2019. (See Post Below)
On July 13, Detective Mosley presented the case to a New Castle County Grand Jury, which returned an indictment on the following charges:
Murder (First Degree)
Attempted Murder (First Degree)
Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony (4 counts)
Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited (3 Counts)
Illegal Gang Participation
Reckless Endangering (First Degree)
Resisting Arrest
Henry was arraigned in New Castle County Superior Court and given $1,642,000 cash-only bail. Henry was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution.

Wilmington Police are investigating a shooting incident that occurred at approximately 10:13 p.m. in the 700 block of West 4th Street, according to police.
Officials said police located a 66-year-old male gunshot victim, who was transported to the hospital where he was originally listed in critical but stable condition.
This afternoon police announced that 66-year-old Terry Wise succumbed to his injuries.
