Police: Man Wanted On Child Rape, Sexual Abuse Charges Arrested

New Castle County Police have arrested a man wanted on charges of rape.

In the month of March, detectives from the New Castle County Division of Police Criminal Investigations Unit were dispatched to a local area hospital for a sexual abuse investigation, officials said Wednesday.

Police said that after numerous interviews, 58-year-old John Faulk was listed as a suspect. The investigation also revealed that the victims were ages 10, 5, and a 3, according to police. Detectives subsequently swore out arrest warrants for his arrest.

On Thursday, July 23, 2020, detectives from the New Castle County Division of Police arrested Faulk without incident.

Faulk was charged with one count of felony Rape 2nd degree where victim is less than 12, one count of felony Sexual Abuse of a Child by a Person of Trust 1st degree, four counts of felony Unlawful Sexual Contact of a Child Younger than 13, and two counts of felony Sexual Abuse of a Child by a Person of Trust 2nd degree.

 

 

He was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2 and held in lieu of $160,000 secured bail.
