Newark – Just after 3:00 this afternoon rescue crews from the Christiana Fire Company, Aetna, Hose Hook, and Ladder, New Castle County Paramedics, and Trooper 4 responded to Route 896 in the area of Hodgson Votech for reports of a motor vehicle accident with ejection.
Shortly after their arrival crews cleared all incoming units other than Trooper 4. Shortly thereafter Trooper 4 was released from the scene as well.
Crews en route to the hospital reported that the patient was wearing a helmet on impact. It’s not clear what the rider struck.
