Troopers: Man Shot In The Neck During Altercation

Milford– The Delaware State Police are investigating a shooting incident that occurred last evening, according to Public Information Officer, Senior Corporal Heather Pepper.

Pepper said the incident occurred on July 15, 2020, at approximately 5:37 p.m., when Troopers were dispatched to Betsy Ross Circle in Milford, in reference to a shooting.

Upon arrival, it was discovered a 32-year-old Georgetown man had been shot in the neck. Pepper said further investigation revealed that the man was involved in a physical altercation with the suspect in the apartment complex. During the altercation, the suspect produced a handgun and fired one round, striking the victim. The suspect then fled in a white passenger vehicle in an unknown direction. The victim was transported to a local area hospital and treated for his injury.

Pepper said there is no suspect information at this time. The condition of the patient is unknown at this time.
