Police investigating Shots Fired At Newark-Area Hotel

Newark- The Delaware State Police are investigating a shots fired incident that occurred Saturday morning, according to Public Information Officer, Corporal/1 Jason Hatchell.

Hatchell said the preliminary investigation into this incident occurred on August 8, 2020, at approximately 2:25 a.m., when Troopers were dispatched to the Sonesta Suites Hotel located at 240 Chapman Road in Newark, for a report of shots being fired. Upon arrival, three shell casings were located on the roadway in front of the hotel.

At this time there have been no reports of any injuries and there is no suspect information.
