Cecil County Crash Sends Multiple People To Hospital, One By Air

Cecil County – Just before 12:30 Saturday afternoon rescue crews from Rising Sun, Cecil County Paramedics, Rising Sun Police and Maryland State Police responded to Route 273 at Chandee Road (just east of Plumpton Park Zoo) for a motor vehicle crash with entrapment and reports of multiple patients.

Officials have not released details regarding the crash, however, it is believed that five patients were transported to area hospitals.  One of the patients, a small child, was transported by Maryland State Police Aviation’s Trooper 1. All others were transported by ambulance. At least two patients had to be extricated from one of the vehicles.

This is a developing story. Additional details will be released when they become available.
