Glasgow– Delaware State Police have identified the individual who died in a crash on October 8, 2020, on westbound Pulaski Highway at LaGrange Parkway, as 66-year-old Nathaniel Milton of Newark, DE. Milton was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation by the Delaware State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit.

Glasgow- Delaware State Police is investigating a fatal motor vehicle collision that occurred on Pulaski Highway (Rt 40) westbound at LaGrange Parkway, according to Public Information Officer, Master Corporal Heather Pepper.
Pepper said on October 8, 2020, at approximately 4:36 p.m., a 2004 Ford Explorer was stopped in the inside left turn lane of southbound LaGrange Parkway, waiting to turn left onto Pulaski Highway eastbound.
A 2010 Saab operated by a 19-year-old Newark man, was traveling westbound on Pulaski Highway within the right lane of travel. The traffic signal for LaGrange Parkway turned green, and the Explorer proceeded into the intersection. A non-contact vehicle came to a stop in the right thru lane of westbound Pulaski Highway at LaGrange Parkway for a solid red light.
The Saab was approaching the stopped vehicle, merged to the right and into the right turn lane for LaGrange Parkway, and proceeded into the intersection, striking the Explorer’s driver side, according to Pepper. As a result of the collision, the Explorer and Saab caught fire. The Explorer operator was unable to exit the vehicle and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The Saab operator was able to exit the car and was transported to a nearby hospital by ambulance, where he was admitted for non-life-threatening injuries.
At this time, the identity of the Explorer operator is pending identification, said Pepper.
Pulaski Highway westbound between the area of Peoples Plaza and Pleasant Valley Road was closed for approximately 3 hours while the collision was investigated and cleared.

Earlier this afternoon, Thursday, October 8, 2020, New Castle County Paramedics, along with rescue crews from Aetna Hook, Hose, and Ladder Company, and Christiana Fire Company, responded to the area of Pulaski Highway and La Grange Parkway for reports of a motor vehicle collision with vehicles on fire.
On arrival, rescue crews found a two-vehicle collision with both vehicles on fire. A total of two patients were found, one requiring advanced life support care.
Patient one, an adult male was found with suspected internal injuries and extremity injuries. The patient was transported to Christiana Care Hospital Emergency Room via ambulance from Aenta Hook, Hose, and Ladder Company, accompanied by New Castle County Paramedics. The patient was in serious, but stable condition during transport.
Patient two, an unknown subject, was pronounced dead on scene by New Castle County Paramedics.
Delaware State Police continue to investigate the incident.
