Troopers Release Details In Shooting At Bear Wawa

Bear- Delaware State Police are investigating a shooting incident that occurred late last night that left one man wounded, according to Public Information Officer, Corporal/1 Jason Hatchell.

Hatchell said the incident occurred on October 20, 2020, at approximately 11:58 p.m., when Troopers were dispatched to Wawa located 1100 Pulaski Highway, Bear, in reference to a shooting. The investigation has determined a 24-year-old male had an altercation in the parking lot and subsequently was shot twice while standing outside of his vehicle. He was transported to a local area hospital and treated for gunshot wounds to the leg and abdomen.

There is no suspect information at this time and no other reported injuries.
