Mob Of Thieves Plunder Apple Display In Dover, $12K Taken

The Dover Police Department is investigating a shoplifting incident that occurred on Tuesday afternoon at Best Buy, according to Public Information Office
Sergeant Mark Hoffman.

Hoffman said at approximately 4:21 p.m., five male subjects entered the store and approached the Apple product display. The five suspects began removing the items by detaching the security locks/cables and fleeing. It is estimated that $12,000 worth of Apple display products were stolen. The suspects all fled in a silver Infinity G35x with Texas registration plate: DBG-2963. The registration plate does not match the vehicle it was displayed on.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact the Dover Police Department at (302)736-7130. Callers may remain anonymous. Tips may also be submitted to law enforcement through Delaware Crime Stoppers at 800-TIP-3333 or online at delaware.crimestoppersweb.com; a cash reward is possible for information leading to an arrest.
