The New Castle County Division of Police is currently conducting a Homicide Investigation in the community of Rosegate.
Earlier today at approximately 2:00 P.M., officers from the New Castle County Division of Police responded to the area of Rose Lane in the community of Rosegate for a report of shots fired.
Upon arrival, officers were informed that two gunshot victims had been transported to an area hospital. The officers ascertained that the shooting occurred in the 100 block of Rose Lane. Officers later learned that one of the victims had succumbed to his wounds, and the other victim is in critical condition.
Detectives from the New Castle County Division of Police Criminal Investigations Unit, Homicide Squad arrived at the scene and assumed the investigation.
