Troopers Release New Castle Triple Shooting Details

New Castle- On December 10, 2020, at approximately 6:15 p.m., troopers responded to the area of Boulden Blvd and Boulden Circle, New Castle in reference to a shooting investigation, according to Public Information Officer, Corporal/1 Jason Hatchell.

Hatchell said a 19-year-old male victim of New Castle was operating a white GMC Terrain and stopped for a red light on northbound Boulden Circle waiting to make a left turn onto Boulden Blvd. While waiting for the light to change, an unknown dark-colored vehicle proceeded to fire several bullets into the white GMC Terrain striking the operator and two other passengers, a 24-year-old male and a 20-year-old male of New Castle, inside of the vehicle.

After the shooting, the white GMC Terrain traveled onto westbound Boulden Blvd until striking an embankment in the area of Matassino Road and became disabled. All victims were transported from the scene to an area hospital for medical treatment. Hatchell did not release the condition of the shooting victims

There is currently no description of the suspect(s). The suspect’s vehicle is described as a dark-colored vehicle.

Hatchell said that investigators recovered two shell casings at the scene.
