Police: Jogger In Serious Condition After Being Struck By Hit-And-Run Driver

Yesterday evening, Thursday, at approximately 6:00, patrol officers from the New Castle County Division of Police were dispatched to the area of the intersection of Glenrock Drive and Miles Road, in the community of Radnor Green, for the report of a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle.

When the officers arrived, they discovered a 39-year-old male victim suffering from injuries to his upper body. The victim was transported to a local area hospital where he is listed in serious condition.

Investigators from the New Castle County Division of Police Traffic Services Unit arrived at the scene and assumed the investigation. They were able to determine that the vehicle was traveling on Glenrock away from Harvey Road when the victim was struck. The vehicle then fled the area, police said.

The detectives also determined that the victim was jogging at the time of the incident.
