Police: Man Stabbed During Carjacking In Newark’s Robscott Manor Uncooperative

Last night Feb 8, at approximately 10:15 p.m. Newark and New Castle County Police Officers were dispatched to the unit block of Sanford Drive, in the community of Robscott Manor for the report of a carjacking that had just occurred.

When the officers arrived at the scene, they discovered a 37-year-old man suffering stab wounds to the upper body. Officials said the investigation revealed that the victim’s vehicle was taken during the altercation, however, they did not indicate if it was the assailant that took the vehicle. Police did not confirm initial reports that indicate that the victim was found in the area of McVey Elementary School.

Detectives are asking for assistance from the members of the community in locating a Red Hyundai Elantra (MD reg 5EK7640). Officials said that as the investigation progressed, the victim became uncooperative with detectives.

Despite initial reports that the victim was suffering serious wounds, police said the victim was transported to a local area hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
