Separate Overnight Shootings Leave Two Hospitalized, One Dead

Local police agencies are currently investigating separate incidents that left two wounded and one dead overnight.

New Castle County Police (NCCPD) said on Tuesday morning at approximately 12:45 a.m. patrol officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of Flanders Way in the community of Christiana Village Townhouses.

Officials said when the officers arrived at the scene, they discovered that the 35-year-old, male victim had been transported to a local EMS station by private vehicle. Crews at the station rushed the victim to a local area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Police said the man was shot in the torso.

Earlier in the evening, Wilmington Police responded to a shooting that occurred at approximately 11:46 p.m. Monday in the area of 10th and Madison Streets.

Police said they located a 21-year-old male gunshot victim who arrived at the hospital and is listed in stable condition. Police also located an 18-year-old male gunshot victim who arrived at the hospital and is currently listed in critical condition.
