Quick Update On The Rider Injured In Fiery Motorcycle Crash Saturday

Motorcycle rider is recovering from his injuries suffered last Saturday.

Just before 7:00 on Saturday evening, we told you about a motorcycle accident that occurred on Route 40 near the Delaware State Police Troop in Newark.

Shortly after our brief post alerting readers that the bike was on fire and the road was closed we heard from the rider’s wife. We mention the rider was airlifted to the hospital and she was wondering if he was transported to Christiana Hospital. “I would have never know my best friend was down, he just left home for an hour ride. He was to come back and wake me up…I’m glad I saw your post, I would have never known”, said the wife.

The rider’s wife said he is doing well, he went through surgery yesterday has another tomorrow. He has four broken fingers on one hand, both arms will need rods, he has a bad leg injury and he has stitches in his tongue, lip, and a few across his nose.

Overall he is doing good. He is talking, laughing, and very lucky to be alive.
