Investigators Say Fire Inside Route 7 Lowes On Saturday Was Arson

The Delaware Office of the State Fire Marshal is asking for help from the public with solving an arson that occurred yesterday in Bear, Delaware, according to Assistant State Fire Marshal Michael Chionchio.

Chionchio said shortly after 4:00 pm a fire was reported inside the customer shopping area of the Lowe’s Home Improvement at 1030 East Songsmith Drive near Route 7. The fire originated in an aisle and was quickly extinguished. The store was open with several employees and customers inside. Fire damage was contained to the product on the shelf and estimated at $1000 loss. No one was injured.
