Troopers Investigating Route 7 Crash That Sent Three To Trauma Center

At approximately 2:40 p.m., New Castle County Paramedics (NCCEMS), Mill Creek Fire Company, Belvedere Fire Company, and Wilmington Manor Fire Company were dispatched to the intersection of Route 7 Northbound and Stanton Christiana Road in Newark for reports of a motor vehicle collision with a subject not alert, according to NCCEMS Assistant PIO Emily Mallon.

Mallon said upon arrival, New Castle County Paramedics found three patients.

• A 70-year-old female was treated for a possible head injury and injuries to her lower extremities. She was transported to Christiana Hospital via Mill Creek Fire Company ambulance, accompanied by New Castle County Paramedics, in serious condition.
• An 87-year-old female was treated for internal injuries and injuries to her extremities. She was transported to Christiana Hospital via Mill Creek Fire Company ambulance, accompanied by New Castle County Paramedics, in critical condition.
• A 67-year-old male was treated for injuries to his lower extremities. He was transported to Christiana Hospital via Mill Creek Fire Company ambulance, accompanied by New Castle County Paramedics, in stable condition.

Delaware State Police is investigating the crash.
